A Reminder to all Residents of Allegheny Township:

Building Permits are required for new residential construction, manufactured housing, decks and ramps, swimming pools (in ground and above ground),  and attached garages, as well as ALL Commercial activity. You may download and print your specific application (see below), or you can stop by to personally pick-up an application at the Allegheny Township Municipal Building, 3131 Colonial Drive, Duncansville, from 9:00 AM till 4:00 PM Monday through Fridays.

Allegheny Township, like all Pennsylvania Municipalities, falls under the Uniform Construction Code (UCC). This requires State mandated forms and inspections. Call the township office if you need this explained.  The application takes approximately 10-15 working days from the date the application is submitted, until a Building Permit is issued, after a review and approval from the Middle Department Inspection Agency (MDIA).  Rich Webb and Brian Rearick are our UCC Inspectors for Residential and Commercial applications, respectively. Call the township office if you need this explained.

* For a copy of the Allegheny Township Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (SALDO), please stop by the Municipal Building; the cost is $20.00.

NOTE:  Allegheny Township has no zoning.
