Holliday and Jackson Holliday and Jackson Burial
The Holliday and Jackson burial grounds , where the founding fathers of Hollidaysburg are buried, are located in Blair Township. These Cemeteries are located across from the Township Office on Cedarcrest Drive.

The Holliday Cemetery was started in the late 1700s, when Indians killed part of the Holliday family. The Indians attacked Holliday when he and his three children were taking some pay. Mr. Holiday was able to escape on horseback. The children did not escape and are buried in this cemetery. The Blair County Historical Society erected a monument to the Hollidays on June 14, 1917, near the graves of Adam, Patrick and Janet.

Next to the Holliday grounds is the Jackson Cemetery. Thomas W. Jackson, a Huntingdon County senator, is buried there. He was the chairman of the Pennsylvania Canal Committee, and was involved in making Hollidaysburg the western terminal for the canal. Jackson was also district attorney of Blair County and a resident of Gaysport.

There are about 50 - 60 people buried at the site. No one has been buried there since 1900.
